American Indian Scholarships
The challenges faced by American Indians is unique with regard to finding a way to a college education as it undoubtedly in the ranks of a highly rated misrepresented group in terms of its degree holding and college population. American Indians comprise of the smallest groups of minorities in the United States in the population ratings. According to the Census Bureau in 2000 the Native Americans made up 0.8% of the US population. Many have an interracial background. The focus of professional organizations is to be further employment for Native Americans in job markets that were traditionally white male.
